We’re looking for an experienced product design manager to join our UX & Design team in New York City, working on our fantasy sports product.
You’ll manage the product design team for Fantasy on an organisational, tactical, and developmental level and leads team projects and goals with high scope and/or ambiguity.
You’ll own large, highly-strategic projects, as well as helping out with some more detailed UX and UI design when necessary or where setting direction. You’ll supervise the activities of the team members. You’ll be a key facilitator in ensuring projects are delivered and outcomes are measured. You’ll be responsible for the overall success of the team, and share some responsibility for design quality with Leads or Principals.
You’ll work closely with other Design/Research Managers to align on consistency of patterns and processes across areas. You’ll provide collaborative and cross functional leadership to peers. You’ll use facilitation skills to engage cross-functional teams. You’ll explore new practices and contribute to defining team practices. You’ll improve processes, structures and governance.
You’ll leads and facilitate team meetings. Contribute to any level of company meeting. Attend appropriate UX & Design team leadership meetings.
You’ll help promote UX & Design at FanDuel externally. You’ll lead hiring process for Fantasy and conTribute to hiring in the larger team.
You’ll receive coaching in behavioral skills and people management. You’ll give quality, timely, objective feedback and coach team members in technical and behavioral skills. You may coach less experienced managers in people management.
You’ve lead the delivery of work at the scope of a whole product. You’ve managed a team of at least 3 people on a tactical level and developmental level.
You’re competent in all areas of product design. You’re consistently committed to adherence and investment in quality, operations, and customer intelligence. You’ve worked in a close partnership with product, engineering, and delivery leaders.
You’re skilled in storytelling and persuasion. You can communicate clearly at all levels of an organization.
